The St. Louis
Sheet Metal Training School operates for the education of apprentices
and the continuing education of journeyman sheet metal workers.
It is a cooperative effort between
The
Sheet Metal Workers International Association Local Union #36

The St. Louis chapter of Sheet Metal
and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association
(SMACNA)
Together they
established the management body called
The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee
(JATC).
Sheet
Metal Workers are employed in residential, commercial and industrial
construction activities.
Their work
involves:
- Fabricating and installing heating, ventilating
and air conditioning systems.
- Testing, adjusting, and balancing of
those systems.
- Fabrication and installation of
architectural sheet metal items on
the exterior of buildings.
- Fabrication and installation of
specialty items for manufacturing and commercial industry.
The curriculum is designed and
monitored by our International Training Institute (ITI) and is constantly
updated to insure that our training is keeping up with the changes
and demands of the Sheet Metal Industry. |
